Yay! Our panoptICONS project was one of the winners in the Memefest 2011 friendly competition in the category Beyond…. As their website says ‘The “Beyond…” category hopes to bring out new visual and conceptual forms of communication which catalyze social change while engaging people as something more than mere consumers.’

The camerabirds were present at the Big Brother awards 2010 in Amsterdam. The BB awards are awarded to the worst Dutch privacy violators by Bits of Freedom. You can see the birds in this Dutch news item.

The panoptICONS project was featured in the February edition of Belgian lifestyle magazine Goedele.

Friday the 28th is privacy day and our camerabirds will be part of the events planned in Utrecht. Vrijbit has organised a walk through the city and talks concerning privacy.
